Over 4,000 Primary Healthcare Centres Refurbished Nationwide – NPHCDA

The Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Muyi Aina, has emphasized the importance of traditional and religious leaders in strengthening primary healthcare delivery across Nigeria.

During a visit to the palace of the Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Baba Yunusa, Dr. Aina commended local leadership and acknowledged the efforts of the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in addressing challenges within the health sector.

He disclosed that more than 4,000 primary healthcare centres have been refurbished nationwide as part of efforts to improve access to quality healthcare services for Nigerians.

At the Ayaura Comprehensive Primary Health Care Centre in Abaji Area Council, Dr. Aina interacted with patients and healthcare workers, noting that upgraded infrastructure and improvements in the healthcare workforce have enhanced service delivery and patient care.

The visit underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen primary healthcare systems and expand access to essential medical services at the grassroots level.
