FG COMMENDS ALGON ON “LIGHT UP THE NATION” INITIATIVE

The Federal Government commends the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) for its “Light up the nation” initiative, boosting security and socio-economic growth.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, met with ALGON leaders, praising the initiative’s impact on security and community development.
He urged local governments to show discipline and accountability in delivering services. Algon president Iliyasu Zakari reaffirmed commitment to the initiative, part of the renewed hope agenda, targeting all 774 local government areas.
