Defence Headquarters Intensifies Rescue Efforts for Kidnapped Oyo Students

The Defence Headquarters says it is intensifying efforts to secure the release of 39 students and seven teachers kidnapped in Ahorо Esin-Ele community, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, reiterated this during the monthly briefing on ongoing Armed Forces operations across the country.

According to defence correspondent Ismail Musa, the military also reported operational gains, including the elimination of 317 terrorists, the arrest of 314 suspects, and the rescue of 221 kidnapped victims within the last 30 days.

The statement further noted that several criminal camps were destroyed and weapons recovered across various theatres of operation nationwide.
